Artist Statement
I make conceptual art, with a focus on the relationship between humans and the natural environment. My work is concerned with remembering, rebuilding, and exploring boundaries. The boundaries between natural and unnatural, between human and non-human, and between wild and domesticated are pertinent to my work. The works are surreal yet whimsical fictions. Ambiguity, contradiction, and juxtaposition express the complexity and paradoxical manner of humans within the natural world.
